Nashville Attitude
|
| The Nashville Attitude has and continues to be a major part of the Northeast live music circuit. Performing at clubs throughout the tri-state area as well being regulars at Atlantic city and Mohegan Sun casinos. The original flavor of a N.Y. honky tonk sound mixed with clever lyrics and versatile playing has helped the band stay involved in many mainstream performing situations as well as specializing in country western themed events. The band’s intentions have always been on emulating the great Nashville players and songwriters while retaining a New York identity. It has been a natural adaptation to the genre of Country music and has earned the group numerous awards over the years from New York and New Jersey Country Music Associations. The band’s reputation in New York and Nashville earned them the privilege of playing for Country Royalty at Gracie Mansion for the 2005 Country Music Award Nominees party as well as at Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s first victory press conference appearance at B.B. Kings.
The music has been called Cosmopolitan Country and at live shows has converted many non country listeners into instant fans. The unique interpretation of honky tonk Americana in both their original recordings and cover material has brought the band from the clubs to the big stage opening for country superstars Travis Tritt, Diamond Rio and this years CMA winner Lee Ann Womack as well as many others. When in Music City Nashville the quartet is featured in hot spots such as the famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, The Gibson Theater and The Bluegrass Inn. Prestigious events, corporate parties and songwriting nights are too long to list. The band has played at Rockefeller center, on The Intrepid and on rooftops in New York City. They were the featured act representing NYC & Co. at Opryland for the ASAE convention. Currently working on a 3rd CD release they keep an active performance schedule continuing to develop their craft. The band’s strong following and great success has been earned through tenacity and persistence. The past has built the confidence that shows great potential and the brightest future. The music has been sold to people from all over the world and the groups passion and likable manner compliment their musical talent. Recent TV appearances include The CBS morning News and The Party Planner with David Tutera. Current Press include The New York Times, Crain’s Business Weekly and numerous articles in The Staten Island Advance. The Nashville Attitude has also opened for Blackhawk, Mark Wills, Kris Tyler and Jessica Andrews. Side stage appearances include nights with Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Clint Black, The Mavericks, Tim McGraw, The Dixie Chicks, Trace Adkins and Brooks and Dunn.
