Mojo
|
| Based in Central New Jersey, MOJO is a cover band that features stylish arrangements of horn-infused funk/soul and mainstream pop/rock. MOJO was assembled in 2002 by Hyperactive trumpeter John Feneck. The project has attracted an impressive cast of musicians from the NYC/NJ area, including Jodi Josephson (Vocals), Jason Keller (Guitar, vocals), Dale Graham (Bass), Patrick Van Belle (Drums) and John Martin (Saxes, trumpet, vocals).
As individuals, we have had the good fortune of performing with musicians from practically every style of music – from Steve Turre of the Saturday Night Live band to Branford Marsalis to the late Dizzy Gillespie. We have performed as a group at the Meadowlands, Borgata and Trump Marina, as well as many weddings and corporate events. Our mission is to create arrangements of danceable songs that are at the center of what is, and always will be, happening. The group released EPs in August 2002 and April 2004, and a DVD in August 2006. MOJO brings to the stage an intense energy that is full of musical surprises. The end result is an experienced, reliable band whose greatest strength is its diversity. |
